Portfolio of recent Projects
1.
Organizational psychology and change management
1.1
Development of an intervention structure in change management for
small and medium enterprises (SME)
Cognexion Inc.
Every enterprise incurs enormous risks when improvement of its business
processes are refused or misunderstood by its employees. I developed
an intervention structure in change management to ensure a good communication
of goals and relevant information to employees and managers, and secure
improvement of business processes through the organization.
1.2
Trainings in organizational psychology
Cognexion Inc.
I developed the content of seminars in organizational psychology on
the following topics: conflict management, emotional intelligence,
communication, relationship management, motivation, self-esteem and
decision-making. I still offer these seminars in relation to the contents
of my psychology books.
2. Research
2.1
Cognitive Management
Started under Cognexion Inc., this project is now the subject of a
future book and of a Ph.D. in information sciences. It now benefits
to InterDoc Corporation.
This research project first consists in making a synthesis of general
theoretical aspects of management and knowledge management in the
context of globalization. Then, the goal is to enrich this view with
recent researches in cognitive sciences to see how to maximize flows
of information through all components of organizations (with a special
interest to the human dimension of organizations and IT).To date,
much of the documentation has been collected, read and synthesized.
Moreover, two scientific papers are almost completed. I intend to
submit them to journals like Technovation or Journal of Knowledge
Management.
2.2
Semantic Networks in Artificial Intelligence
InterDoc Corporation
The semantic networks are graphs which associate linguistic concepts
through various types of relations to represent knowledge. The goal
of this project is to reproduce certain characteristics of human semantic
memory, especially inferential capabilities. This research project
is in line with my interest for representation of knowledge through
language concepts. I just finished an article on the topic; a second
one is in preparation.
3.
Management and Administration
3.1
Adaptation of the Lean Six Sigma Methodology to SME
Cognexion Inc.
We worked to adapt the Lean Six Sigma methodology and philosophy to
the specific needs of SME, particularly in relation to the human dimension
of organization (business culture and change management). The results
were a complete set of solutions (intervention programs) to improve
business processes of SME. We also wrote papers on the topic (the first
one was published in the journal of the Quebec Movement of Quality)
and an introduction book that remains unfinished.
